Lipolytic Injections
Injection lipolysis (“lipo” = fat, “lysis” = breakdown) is also referred to as “fat-dissolving injections,” a minimally invasive procedure designed to reduce pockets of fat.
Injection lipolysis targets pools or concentrations of stubborn fat in certain areas. These targeted pockets of fat cells are so adamant that no amount of reasonable dieting and exercising can burn them. The purpose of lipolysis is to get rid of them at the molecular level.
How do They Work?
Targeting Fat Cells: These injections work by introducing a substance, typically deoxycholic acid, directly into the fatty tissue.
Deoxycholic Acid’s Role: Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring bile acid that helps the body break down and absorb dietary fats. When injected into the fat, it disrupts the fat cells, causing them to rupture and release their contents.
Body’s Response: The body then naturally processes and eliminates the released fat cells.
